Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Reellet is operated by legal operator name, legal status, country and contact address (“we”, “us”). These terms cover our website, account services and the Reellet application. To reach us, use our contact pagethe contact form is not connected yet.

Please read these terms before using Reellet. Any paid order must present the applicable terms before purchase. Nothing here removes rights that applicable law gives you and that cannot be waived.

2. Reellet, third-party content and lawful use

Reellet is a general-purpose media player. We provide the software and related account and update services; we do not supply a catalogue of films, television programmes or other third-party media, and we do not operate a media-hosting or content-distribution service for content selected by users. Any demonstration media that we publish remains subject to its applicable rights and licence.

You select the files, links, streams and torrent sources that you open. You are responsible for ensuring that your access, playback, downloading and any sharing are permitted by applicable law and by the rights or permissions you hold. This includes respecting copyright and related rights, lawful access restrictions and applicable third-party terms. Content being publicly accessible on the internet does not, by itself, establish permission to copy or share it. Reellet does not grant rights to third-party content or authorise bypassing access controls.

When you use torrent features, the application may exchange data with peers, including uploading pieces of the selected content. Such exchanges occur from your device as part of the protocol. Before using these features, make sure you have permission for both downloading and sharing where required. Describing Reellet as a player does not change these obligations.

We do not endorse or warrant the lawfulness, accuracy, safety or availability of sources selected by users. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for unlawful use of third-party content resulting from a user's selection or instructions. This does not exclude responsibility for our own acts or omissions, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Opening a file or link does not transfer ownership of it to us. Playback compatibility and availability depend on the file, format, source, network and device. We do not promise that every file or external service will work.

3. Permission to use the application

Subject to these terms, you may use Reellet for its intended purposes on supported devices within the scope of your applicable licence. This permission does not transfer ownership of Reellet's proprietary software or branding. Third-party and open-source components retain their own licences, which take precedence for those components. Nothing here restricts rights granted by those licences or by mandatory law, including permitted interoperability activities.

4. Accounts and security

Provide accurate account information and protect access to your sign-in provider and device. Tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not abuse the service, interfere with other users, attempt unauthorised access or evade security controls. Good-faith security reports are welcome through our contact page.

Creating an account does not itself purchase a licence or grant paid features. Website settings explicitly marked as previews do not change settings in the Mac application.

5. Activation, paid features and purchases

The Reellet application works with an activated account. An account is activated by its first purchase: the one-time activation, which includes 7 days of paid features, or any paid plan. There is no free trial. Before you pay, the checkout states the price, currency, billing interval, included features, applicable taxes, the seller (our merchant of record) and the cancellation terms.

After activation the basic player remains available without a plan. Paid features require an active subscription or a lifetime licence. When a subscription ends, your history, settings, existing subtitles and saved API key are not deleted because of the expiry; renewing restores paid features. A lifetime licence requires no further payments. The exact list of basic and paid features is stated in the purchase offer. External AI provider usage is paid by you to that provider and is not included in the Reellet price unless an offer expressly says so.

A purchase covers one Mac at a time. You can move it to another Mac by unlinking the previous one in the application or in your account, up to three times in 30 days.

Cancellation of automatic renewal and a request for a refund are different actions. Refunds follow our refund policy. Applicable withdrawal, refund and conformity rights that cannot be waived remain available. A full refund or chargeback of the purchase that activated the account ends the activation, unless another purchase remains.

Lifetime offers must define their duration and scope in the purchase offer; these terms do not silently narrow an existing lifetime entitlement. Changes to these terms do not retroactively remove purchased rights.

6. Third-party services and AI

Features you choose to enable may connect to external media sources, metadata services, subtitle services or AI providers. Their availability, charges and rules are controlled by their operators. We are responsible for our own integration as required by law but cannot guarantee an external provider's continued availability.

If you supply an API key, you are responsible for your provider account and its usage charges. AI-generated translations or other outputs may be inaccurate; review them before relying on them. Reellet's AI features are not professional advice.

7. Updates and availability

We may provide updates for compatibility, security and functionality. Feature previews describe unfinished capabilities, not a promise of a release date. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or support for every environment. These qualifications do not exclude legally required updates, conformity obligations or commitments made in your purchase offer.

8. Responsibility and limitations

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude voluntary warranties beyond those expressly stated in the applicable offer and mandatory legal warranties. For business users only, to the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, arising from use of Reellet.

We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so is unlawful, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where protected by law, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer remedies. These terms do not waive obligations under data-protection law. Responsibility for content selected by a user does not excuse our own unlawful conduct.

9. Restrictions, suspension and termination

We may restrict account services when reasonably necessary to address a security incident, unlawful use or a material breach. Where appropriate and legally required, we will explain the reason and allow an opportunity to resolve it. Restrictions will be proportionate. Paid users retain applicable contractual remedies, and termination does not erase statutory rights.

10. Changes, complaints and applicable law

We will identify the effective date of changes and give notice when required. Material changes affecting an ongoing paid service will be handled in accordance with applicable law, including any required right to end the contract.

Contact us first if something is wrong; doing so does not prevent you from exercising legal remedies or contacting a competent authority. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a foreign exclusive court or a waiver of consumer protections. Any governing-law clause added later must preserve mandatory protections available to consumers.
